I have learnt a lot in my life that men will tell you what you want to hear in the relationship but in reality, they really meant the opposite.

Sadly, lies and deception is all part of the new norm in the pop culture of our society today but I will never allow myself to be any part of it. Being single and alone was definitely not on my bucket list plan but here I am in my early forty's and I am still looking for the "One". Physically, I still look young for my age because I take great care of myself; my body and my mind is still fresh and young like a 20 year old guy, however, emotionally and psychologically I am a mature and a methodical thinker. I live a healthy balance work and play lifestyle. I still play competitive sport with men in their 20's and I love competing because it is my natural survival instinct. Plus I am always surrounded myself with a very few but quality positive people with good vibe. Success and happiness is when you have the ability to control your own fate and not let others create drama in your life. I always knew that the less people I have in my life, the less drama I will have to hear about it. And yes, I am an educated, sophisticated and an intelligent person. Generally speaking, I am good at compromising when it comes to personal relationship but I am also good with numbers and business negotiation.

In my professional career, I was able to achieve plenty of success. As for my personal life, I was able to conquer a lot of things except for LOVE. In this day and age, love is becoming much more complex because there are so many different dynamic and variables. I am a Chinese Canadian professionally employed but completely Westernized and living in Vancouver, Canada. I had a lot of responses here but none I would consider as an ideal soul mate. When I looked and turned at every corner, all I see is people with a lot of baggage. I am not looking for a friend, a coffee buddy to hook up or a threesome, I am looking for a real serious romantic "lover/soul mate" here. There is a huge difference between a friend and a soul mate, I do not have sex with any of my friends or BFF no matter how close we are. There is no romance or firework in any kind of friendship. If someone is looking for a friend to be in a LTR, I believe one is creating an "alternative facts" for himself.

Love is like a small plant growing in a pot. It requires water, sun and earth. When it grows, it blossom into flower and bear fruit. Plant are no different than people, it needs love and nurturing. When people are in a relationship, they need love and commitment so their relationship can blossom into something more meaningful and long lasting. Love is like a plant it can also die when the nurturing and the commitment stop. In addition, love requires self-discipline and self-preservation as well as life experience, motivation and priority. Love mean more than just words, it needs action and a lot of work.

In relationship, I am not looking for a saint or a player, I simply want a man with a real soul, kindred heart and pure integrity. I love investing my time but not wasting it. Life is far too short to play with fire and then get burnt. I rather live and enjoy my life with a true purpose and meaning. In addition, I am always planning for the future and never dwell in the past. I hope to find a guy to plant my feet on the ground with.
