Hey! I'm John, 23, from Canada! I'm a very easy-going person, I laugh a good amount, and though I may be conservative in some ways (generally-speaking, health-related...e.g. "no drugs"), I try not to take life too seriously! I am excited for what the future has to offer, as I feel the best is yet to come! I am definitely not perfect, but I do strive to be a better person in mind, body, and...whatever else there may be...;)
I have been in "Brockvegas" for almost six years, helping my grandparents with my dad and sis. We came here initially to visit, but decided to help my grandfather because my grandmother had Alzheimer's (she passed in 2008). My grandfather has also been through the mill, with everything from strokes to cancer, so we are still around for him. However, I feel like it is about time I do what I need to do outside of family, so I will be probably living/working/studying in another country within the next year!
My personal belief is to keep an open-mind about things. I am a philosopher of sorts, constantly trying to understand the Universe. I am interested in exploring religions and philosophies, though instead of adhering to one of them, I simply feel like they are all possible. All the possibilities are possible, in my way of thinking...that to me is true open-mindedness! So God can exist in one Universe, not in another, and then multiple gods in others. But God is different things to different people, just like anything else "in life". For example, water can be thought of as just some bland liquid to keep us hydrated, or the basis of most, if not all, life on Earth! A tree could just be part of the scenery or that which keeps you alive by supplying you with oxygen. Endless aspects, endless possibilites, endless "truths"...we can pick and choose...
